Senior Backend Engineer - Python (m/f/d)

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies and drive the backend development of their cutting-edge platform. 

In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on enhancing the architecture, scalability, and performance of our portfolio company's SaaS products.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our portfolio company's growth phase where your expertise and entrepreneurial mindset will directly influence its success. 

Join our portfolio company, a Supply Chain Startup in Munich that is building a disruptive solution to digitalise a key process in Germany's construction industry.

• Use object-oriented principles and best practices to scale our portfolio company’s backend roadmap, architecture, design and development
• Ensure backend systems are robust, scalable, secure, and optimized for high performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver backend solutions aligned with product and business requirements
• Proactively seek opportunities for technological innovation and product enhancements 
• Mentor junior team members and lay the foundation of the company’s backend engineering standards, tooling, and processes

• Several years of experience of software development (ideally in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment)
• You have extensive experience in building scalable microservice architectures in Python or another object-oriented programming language
• You enjoy all aspects of building a product from scratch 
• You strive to deliver high quality code and features through thorough testing and smooth deployment
• Your code is reusable, well-tested and ready to be shipped directly to the customers
• You’re eager to join an early-stage startup and disrupt an industry that’s still highly paper-driven
• You are business fluent in English (German is highly advantageous) 

Please note that we are looking for support in the Munich office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
