Raytheon Technologies (RTX) has an opening for an Automations Developer (Manager, Business Systems and Transformation) to join the Enterprise Intelligent Automations Program.  Individual Contributor Role.  Remote Opportunity.

This position focuses on intelligent automation opportunities that are focused on creating efficiencies within various business processes across business units.  This will be achieved via the utilization of different automations technologies. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and configure intelligent automation processes to meet the defined process requirements in accordance with standard design principles and conventions.
  • Be able to quickly learn the automations design/development standards and principles to develop automation objects that are efficient, well structured, maintainable, and easy to understand.
  • Partner with business analysts and technical leadership to provide input to the automation opportunities in terms of potential solution design and level of effort.
  • Create and maintain solution documentation.  Comply with and help to enforce design and coding standards, policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Tech Leads on code reviews & automation designs.
  • Actively contribute towards the creation, implementation and continuous improvement of the RTX design principles and standards for intelligent automations.
  • Collaborate across technical and functional teams that are responsible for the underlying systems when developing process automations interacting with those systems
  • Work in an agile framework with iterative cycles of requirements definition, development and testing.
  • Work collaboratively with business analysts and process owners during the testing phases, to fix assigned defects, with quality solutions
  • Report status, issues and risks to the Delivery Leads, Tech Leads, Business Analysts and Automations leadership, as needed.
  • Possess solid communication and collaboration skills to foresee and highlight potential requirements gaps
  • Take responsibility for deliverables including work estimation, planning, communication with business analysts, and automation quality/robustness.
  • Work across technology teams, including cybersecurity, infrastructure and other application teams to deliver robust automations.
  • Identify opportunities for industrialization of objects for reuse in future processes.
  • Be proactive in identification of new process, technology, and business opportunities.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Typically a minimum of 6+ years development experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 5+ years related work experience.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude
  • Experience working in a team structure and collaborating with partners outside of the IT organization to solve business problems with technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicating in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluating information to determine the best solution.
  • A passion for current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with agile development methodology
  • Prior experience with BPM development

Required Education:

Typically a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree
