As a Lead Attorney here at Solstice, you will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance and support to the organization. You will draft and negotiate contracts, advise internal clients on disputes, enforcement and risk mitigation and support contract management function, driving consistent policies and processes in support of business objectives and contributing to the organization's achievement of goals and objectives while satisfying its customers.
You will report directly to our Procurement Assistant General Counsel, and you’ll work on a Hybrid basis, supporting key business functions across procurement, supply chain, and commercial activities. This role is open to candidates based in our offices located in Mexico City (Santa Fe) or San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León.
In this role, you will impact the organization by developing and implementing legal strategies to protect the company's interests and mitigate risks. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and support business objectives. Your strong legal acumen and ability to navigate complex legal issues will be essential in the success of the organization.
Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization on a wide range of legal matters.
- Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders to support purchase, performance and enforcement of vendor obligations.
- Draft and negotiate complex global agreements with vendors, including agreements for IT licenses, SaaS, consulting, outsourcing, HR, Marketing, R&D, Engineering, HSE and other purchased services.
- Recognize and prioritize risk elements in contract negotiations and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Interpret new laws and regulations and their impact on the business.
- Provide coaching and development for junior lawyers.
- Perform due diligence work.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 6+ years of experience practicing law.
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
