LEAD (Leadership Exploration and Development) is a leadership and management development program. Scheduled to begin in July 2026, this program offers onsite training at the bank’s headquarters in Suffolk, VA. The first half of the program is spent in specific job rotations throughout our headquarters in Hampton Roads. The second half of the program is spent in specific on-the-job training in a selected Career Track (see below) within one of Towne’s regions.
The LEAD Program is designed to develop the skills and knowledge to be a successful leader in a top-performing financial institution.
Learning opportunities include presentation skills, advanced communication, business etiquette, ethics, financial management, and more.
Participate in classroom and online learning, job rotations, special projects, group activities, and community volunteerism.
Build professional networks, receive mentoring from previous program graduates and executives, participate in employee resource groups, and engage with local community organizations.

The good-faith compensation for this role is expected to be $60,000 for candidates with a Bachelor's degree and $70,000 for candidates with a Master's degree. Compensation for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience ranges from $65,000 to $80,000. Final compensation will be determined based on the scope of the role, market conditions, internal equity, and the candidate's qualifications and experience.
