The Role:

What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)
- This position is responsible for leading activities related to design, development, cost reduction opportunities and generic analysis of low voltage products to meet customers’ requirements.
- Manage cross-functional Clarios’ technical activities to ensure timely resolution of customer’s engineering needs and concerns.
- Articulate and promote Clarios’ technology and product positioning to technical customers.
- Define, develop, improve, stabilize LV battery design and components to meet customer specifications and cost reduction targets.
- Predict battery design performance and ongoing compliance also using computer modelling tools.
- Responsible for projects and Engineering project tasks and its accomplishment regarding planning, organizing, directing and controlling activities.
- Document and present new designs and change proposals for Design Review evaluation.
- Design validation builds, testing and product documentation.
What Success Looks Like
- Executes activities related to the design, development, and validation of products.
- Prepare detailed plans to track area performance and assure timely completion and achievement of project goals.
- Support team members on any regional product line projects.
- Report on project progress to management on weekly and monthly bases.
- Participate in Analyzing new designs using DFMEA and risk assessment.
- Coordinates testing and analyzing results.

What You Bring (Qualifications)
- BS in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive engineering with proven industry experience (7-15 years) or Technical Master’s degree (thesis track or equivalent) in related field with some industry experience (+7 years)
- Battery or automotive industries
- Knowledge in Six Sigma preferred
- Fluent in conversational English
- Medium Technical English preferred
