The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Architect or Senior Lead to drive the design and development of enterprise-grade Android applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kotlin, strong knowledge of modern Android development practices, and a proven ability to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile applications.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Technical Leadership:

• Define and implement the architecture for Android applications, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance to the Android development team, fostering best practices in code quality, design patterns, and development workflows.

Development & Design:

• Lead the development of complex Android features and modules using Kotlin.
• Design and optimize user interfaces that provide seamless user experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers and UX designers, to deliver integrated solutions.

Innovation & Optimization:

• Evaluate and integrate new tools, libraries, and frameworks to improve development efficiency.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and battery efficiency.
• Ensure applications adhere to Android platform guidelines and best practices.

Code Quality & Review:

• Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and architectural principles.
• Establish and enforce CI/CD practices for efficient and reliable delivery.

Collaboration & Mentorship:

• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

What You Bring to the Team:

Experience:

• 8+ years of professional experience in Android development.
• At least 2 years in a lead or architect role for Android projects.
• Extensive experience with Kotlin and modern Android development (Jetpack, Coroutines, MVVM, or Clean Architecture).

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services.
• Proficiency in unit testing, UI testing, and test-driven development (TDD).
• Familiarity with mobile security practices and performance optimization techniques.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with hybrid frameworks like Flutter or React Native (optional).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Firebase or AWS Mobile Services.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
