The Role
About this role:
The Data Analyst - Marketing Data & Insights, is responsible for partnering with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data assets and data capabilities on a modern Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This individual will bring deep data analytic skills, curiosity and the ability to find data patterns and relationships, and a desire to create new, strategic data products to enable Marketing strategy, execution, and measurement.
This role sits at the intersection of business, analytics, and technology, requiring cross-team collaboration to deliver against high visibility and high priority business needs.

In this role, you will:
  • Product Vision & Design Requirements
    • Understand the vision of the Marketing Offers Decisioning Utility team, and participate in technical sessions to brainstorm how to bring that vision to life.
    • Lead technical & data design sessions, working with SME's to understand and capture net new functional and non-functional design requirements, and rules requirements.
    • Identify upstream and downstream data and integration needs, conducting detailed review of articles such as API code, data element mappings, etc. to confirm mutual understanding of both needs and potential deliverables.
  • Product Delivery
    • Support and actively participate in Agile routines; serving as "back up" to the Product Owner when they are not available
    • Engage with CDP, Marketing, and other stakeholders to generate technical requirements (user stories) to support downstream audit, analytical and reporting needs.
    • Leverage AI accelerators to generate (write) and "story point" user stories to capture upstream and downstream data and integration needs, and work with the Product Owner to confirm that stories are assigned to sprints in accordance with delivery expectations
    • Conduct source to target mapping, conduct data lineage exercises in an environment with minimal metadata to identify root source of record and capture necessary transformation to the data from source of record to the point of presentation/consumption
    • Conduct & document repeatable, pattern-based testing scenarios for new product releases according to documented control procedures
  • Ongoing Product Support
    • Leverage analytical & SQL skills to diagnose root cause of noted production or testing defects
    • Work with Technology to generate the necessary stories to remediate noted defects, both in interim and in the long-term
    • Assist the Product team in creating succinct communications to build consensus, communicate change, report issues and report progress to stakeholders
    • Manage risk & compliance: Embed risk, controls, and policy requirements into product design and delivery; ensure audit readiness and operational excellence.
    • Support implementation and validation of Data quality checks, Control Requirements, and data governance documentation
    • Assist with audit responses and production evidence gathering when requested.
    • Escalate data quality risks to senior product leadership as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Proficiency in SQL, including experience writing complex queries; experience with HiveQL preferred.
  • Experience supporting data pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, curation, and creation of analytical or reporting datasets.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum delivery environment, including backlog support, sprint activities, and collaboration with product and engineering teams.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Strong UNIX, BTEQ skills
  • Familiarity with Hadoop / HDFS / Hive
  • Familiarity with Hue, Dremio, or other similar data workbenches is a plus
  • Familiarity with Python or a similar programming language for data analysis
  • Experience with DROOLS, rules development, and rules management
  • Familiarity with Marketing, customer, or campaign data domains.
  • Prior experience developing automated Eligibility, Decisioning and/or Targeting platforms
  • Working knowledge of cloud data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with hands on experience supporting delivery on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar technologies.
  • Prior exposure to data governance documentation and standards
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Broad experience with Banking applications, products, technology architecture and systems integration experience in consumer and small business banking, consumer lending, and wealth and investment management

Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$100,000.00 - $179,000.00
