Your Opportunity as the Lead Analyst, Sales Finance (Food & Beverage)

Lead as a trusted financial advisor to the Walmart, Sam’s Club, Dollar, and Wholesale sales teams (Food & Beverage) by identifying opportunities to execute against sales and profit objectives, influencing the sales organization to make informed, compliant, and profitable decisions, and proactively identifying a risk and opportunity profile. Lead regular reviews of customer financial plans & forecasts, trade spending, other sales deducts, customer P&Ls and customer level promotional ROI analysis. Leverage your forecasting and financial analysis skills to provide leadership to our Field Sales, Customer Commercialization (CC) and the Customer + Category Business Team (CCBT).

Location: Orrville, OH

Work Arrangements: Hybrid , 35% onsite requirement

In this role you will:

  • Lead financial aspects of Customer business reviews, annual planning, and monthly forecasting. Includes leading aspects of sales and profit delivery by identifying and articulating key drivers of results and providing visibility and guidance on trends to support accurate forecasting.

  • Function as a financial advisor to the field sales team by enabling delivery of top and bottom-line results and proactively providing guidance for gap-closure activities.

  • Support the accuracy of month/quarter/year-end accruals by working with Sales and assisting the trade audit team (promotions setup accurately & according to contract, promo approval, scrubbing, burn rates, etc.).

  • Support month-end reporting & ad hoc activities/requests including incremental opportunities analysis, customer negotiation support, etc.

  • Ensure contractual obligations are reflected in plan and forecast and that the Sales organization is executing brand strategies within guidelines and adhering to Company financial policies.

  • Support forecasting and promotion planning accuracy in CAS (trade management tool). Understand system connectivity for day 2 estimates, business results, and forecast outlook.

  • Lead continuous efforts to ensure best-in-class customer profit model, streamline processes, and sharing best practices across team and organization.

  • Provide customer insights and financial updates to the SBA finance team(s) to align customer and brand objectives and enable understanding of business drivers.

  • Develop human capital and organizational capability through education and development.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 4 years of financial analysis experience in two or more disciplines

  • Financial planning and forecasting ownership

  • Strong fundamental knowledge of promotional strategies, retailer structure, trade funds management systems, financial planning systems

  • Proven ability to effectively lead team members and cross-functional groups

  • Highly organized and highest standards of accuracy and precision

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
