Role Summary
The Lead analyst is a hands-on quality assurance experience in enterprise-level web applications, APIs, and data-driven systems. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality software by executing well-defined test strategies, building robust automation frameworks, and validating complex data flows within Agile delivery teams.
The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of manual and automation expertise, deep understanding of modern web technologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. The role requires ownership of end-to-end testing activities from requirement analysis and test design to defect management and release readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual and automated tests for web applications and APIs
- Build and maintain UI automation using Playwright, Selenium or any custom tools
- Build and maintain API automation using Playwright, Selenium or Postman
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system & role/security base testing.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries and reconciliation checks
- Manage defect triage, root cause analysis and release readiness.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering & Business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios
- Associate with QA engineers across manual & automation and emerging data/AI testing practices
- Use AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to accelerate test creation and documentation with human validation
Must Have
- 5–8 years of QA experience
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Experience in testing data‑intensive systems, integrations, or analytics platforms (e.g., data pipelines, reports, reconciliations).
- Experience in testing web-based applications
- Experience in working with Agile/Scrum teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Should Have
- Backend/data validation experience using SQL
- Exposure in mobile application & automation
- CI/CD pipeline integration for automated tests
- Experience in testing integrations and data flows
- Familiarity with AI‑assisted tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI‑enabled testing platforms
Nice to Have
- Exposure in working with financial systems
- Performance or accessibility testing experience
- ISTQB or equivalent certification
