Lead Analyst, Data ProductSummary

The Lead Analyst, Data Product owns stakeholder relationships and the lifecycle of assigned MedTech Supply Chain data products, translating end-user needs into useful, governed data models and measurable business outcomes. Combining product judgment, data fluency, governance execution, and cross-functional leadership, this role prioritizes demand within domain direction, coordinates lifecycle readiness, and improves adoption, reuse, quality, service performance, and realized value.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Discover and prioritize the business problems, decisions, workflows, use cases, and outcomes that data products must support through stakeholder workshops and interviews.
  • Translate prioritized use cases into a product charter with clear scope, success measures, acceptance criteria, requirements, domains, source systems, owners, consumers, and dependencies.
  • Own assigned data products across their lifecycle from discovery through deployment, marketplace publication, adoption, and enhancement, maintaining the roadmap, prioritized backlog, readiness evidence, metadata record, adoption plan, and performance scorecard.
  • Lead domain-aligned data product squad(s) and align business stakeholders, data stewards, data modelers, architects, engineers, platform teams, and delivery partners on priorities, responsibilities, decisions, and required artifacts and approvals.
  • Establish governance and build readiness by defining ownership, business definitions, metadata, data-quality requirements, semantic standards, and reusable data models validated against business use cases.
  • Coordinate delivery handoffs, resolve issues within the product team, and escalate consumer-impacting risks, dependencies, funding needs, policy questions, and cross-product trade-offs.
  • Prepare products for certification, marketplace publication, and consumer onboarding with complete documentation, support models, service-level agreements, approved metadata, and consumer guidance.
  • Drive stakeholder decisions and continuous improvement by representing products in governance forums; monitoring adoption, usability, realized value, reuse, quality, service performance, and feedback; prioritizing enhancements; and reporting progress, risks, performance, and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data product management, product management, business analysis, data and analytics delivery, or a related role, including leading complex data or analytics initiatives from discovery through delivery.
  • Strong product judgment across consumer needs, domain outcomes, and data product lifecycle management.
  • Ability to uncover requirements from business subject-matter experts, challenge assumptions, identify ambiguity, and ask probing questions.
  • Strong communication and translation skills across business and technical teams, with the ability to influence stakeholders and coordinate specialists in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
  • Understanding of requirements, source systems, data modeling, governance, data quality, integration, and data consumption.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, data marketplaces, data mesh or domain-oriented models, metadata, lineage, business glossaries, stewardship, and data-quality rules; experience with governance platforms such as Alation is an asset.
  • Experience supporting Supply Chain domains such as planning, sourcing and procurement, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or order fulfilment.
  • Experience in MedTech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another regulated industry, and with globally distributed teams including European or nearshore partners, is preferred.
Other
  • May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel based on business needs.
  • Role is required to be fully onsite per attendance policy.
