The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Capacity Planning Analyst to join our dynamic operations team. This role is pivotal in optimizing our manufacturing and supply chain capabilities, ensuring we have the right resources at the right time to meet global demand for our innovative semiconductor solutions. The Capacity Planning Analyst will be instrumental in developing, monitoring, and refining capacity models, identifying potential bottlenecks, and collaborating across departments to drive efficiency and strategic growth.
What You Will Do
Develop, maintain, and enhance robust capacity planning models for manufacturing (internal and external) and test operations, utilizing historical data, sales forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
Analyze long-term and short-term capacity requirements, identifying potential constraints and opportunities for optimization across the global supply chain.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams to integrate demand forecasts and production plans into comprehensive capacity strategies.
Conduct scenario planning and "what-if" analysis to assess the impact of demand fluctuations, new product introductions (NPIs), and process changes on capacity.
Identify and recommend solutions for capacity gaps, including capital equipment investments, process improvements, outsourcing strategies, and resource reallocation.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to capacity utilization, efficiency, and lead times, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
Support the strategic planning process by providing data-driven recommendations for future capacity expansion and resource allocation.
Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall supply chain resilience.
Ensure alignment of capacity plans with financial objectives and business continuity strategies.
What You Will Need
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
3-5 years of experience in capacity planning, demand planning, supply chain analysis, or a similar role, preferably within the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry.
Proven ability to develop and manage complex data models and perform advanced analytical tasks.
Strong proficiency with data analysis tools and software, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VBA, pivot tables, complex formulas) and experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Oracle) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and influence stakeholders at various levels.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
Experience with statistical forecasting methods and inventory management principles is a plus.
