Marsh Risk is the insurance broking and risk management business of Marsh, a global professional services firm, headquartered in New York. Marsh Risk Tech is seeking to appoint a hands-on, delivery oriented, AI native full-stack Lead Agentic Engineer to lead engineering teams to deliver some of our key strategic software development initiatives. This is a leadership role within the Marsh Risk Product Development & Engineering team (PDE) and is based in the Marsh Innovation Centre in Dublin.

The Lead Agentic Engineer is an AI-native senior hybrid role combining Solution Architecture and Lead Engineering. The role designs and delivers high‑quality solutions using AI and enables teams to use AI tooling effectively and responsibly. Operating with high autonomy, the Lead Agentic Engineer provides architectural leadership, oversees design quality, leads small teams, and independently builds production-ready solutions, balancing strategic thinking with AI enabled hands-on delivery.

We will count on you to:

  • Design end-to-end solutions aligned with business goals, architectural standards, security and reliability requirements, and operational needs.
  • Independently build and deliver business value, using AI-enabled tools to improve speed, quality, and consistency.
  • Guide and support teams adopting AI-assisted delivery approaches, providing practical patterns and guardrails.
  • Lead small, cross-functional delivery teams, set technical direction, and mentor senior engineers.
  • Make sound technical decisions in complex or ambiguous environments, identifying trade-offs and improvement opportunities
  • Own cross‑functional coordination across dev, product, business, security, data and platform teams.

What you need to have:

  • Senior experience in solution architecture and hands-on engineering roles.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver complex solutions end to end.
  • Strong proficiency with AI-enabled development and productivity tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership of small engineering teams.
  • Strong communication, influence, and decision-making skills with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Experience deploying and operating containerized workloads on Kubernetes -  Helm/Charts, manifests, ingress, HPA, resource requests/limits and basic cluster troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable with full‑stack development: modern front end (React + TypeScript or equivalent), backend services (Python/Node/Java).
  • Practical experience embedding AI/LLMs into the SDLC (prompt engineering, LLM‑assisted development, automated model tests and model CI/CD).
  • Experience mentoring engineers and presenting outcomes to senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (Postgres), key‑value/NoSQL (Mongo), ETL basics and schema management.

Note this role is based in the MMC Innovation Centre in Dublin, and the successful candidate is expected to be in the office 3 days per week.
