We’re looking for a Lead Accountant to join Euronet EFT Segment who will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the accounting operations within our company. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, compliance with applicable regulations, and maintaining robust internal controls.
This position is based in our offices in Berlin, and you will report directly to the Finance Manager.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and timely reconciliations
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards
- Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Coordinate with different departments to provide financial support and guidance
What Makes You a Great Fit and What Will Help You Thrive:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a lead or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of German accounting principles and regulations
- Experience with international accounting standards (IFRS) is preferred
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
- Fluent in German and English, both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
