The R&D Discovery and Technology Futures group is looking for a creative and energetic LCMS Protein Quantification Senior Scientist specializing in quantitative proteomics. The successful candidate will join a team of expert scientists at the BS/MS and PhD levels to support new product development/biomarker discovery projects. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has strong wet-bench and data analysis skills, curiosity, and is a team player.
What you can expect:Integral part of a dynamic LCMS team that develops novel and robust quantitative proteomics assays.
Use cutting edge instrumentation and analysis software to dig deep into the world of proteomics, across biofluids including blood serum, urine, tissue and fecal samples.
Drive biomarker validation studies using parallel reaction monitoring methods following established protocols for expanding reach of discovery programs.
Execute automated bead based sample preparation workflows for quantification of proteins of interest from biofluids.
Prepares materials, performs experiments, analyzes data, document experiments and other lab activities.
Prepare reports and summaries. Present results and conclusions at internal discussions to drive decisions.
Interface with multiple cross-functional teams to support new product development and on-market products.
Communicate and clearly present results to a broad audience within R&D, including IDEXX senior leadership
PhD in scientific or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 0-3 years of experience.
Background in Biochemistry or Chemistry.
Demonstrated experience working with and developing relative and absolute protein quantification protocols for a wide variety of sample types.
Hands-on experience with and demonstrated understanding of Thermo IonTrap, Orbitrap, and Bruker timsTOF mass spectrometers and UPLCs.
Hands-on experience with ABSciex Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometers is an added advantage.
Expert knowledge of proteomic software including Skyline.
Detail-oriented and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and interpret results.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to take initiative, own projects and be accountable.
Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate techniques and results and implement improved practices.
Salary range starting at $110,000 based on experience
