What is the time commitment?
- Internships range in length from 3 months (typically for students needing a semester or summer length internship) to 6 months, with the possibility of continuing on for 12 months total.
- As an intern, you would serve 10-20 hours per week (we'll work that out when you apply), either at an LCBC location or on one of our Central Teams.
- As part of your weekly hours, you will participate in various environments that are critical to your development, such as weekly team meetings and weekend gatherings.

What would your internship look like?
While internships will look slightly different, depending on the ministry area in which you would be serving, all of them focus on two main components:
- Knowledge that equips - while you will learn from everything you do as an intern, you will be reading and discussing a number of short books that will lay the foundation for a lifetime of growing spiritually, professionally, and relationally.
- Experiences that stretch - the heart of an internship is real-world experience in a specific area of local church ministry, and you'll be getting plenty of that! You will be part of a dynamic team and given opportunities to both serve and lead.
What should you do before you apply?
Talk with your campus pastor or ministry leader, and let them know about your interest in an internship. They will help you think through everything, as you together determine whether an internship at LCBC would be your best next step at this time.
