We are looking for a talented Lawyer (1-3 PQE) / Contract Manager to join our expanding team in Manchester.

The Role
As a Lawyer/Contract Manager, you will be responsible for handling a variety of legal matters, drafting, and negotiating contracts, and ensuring that our company complies with applicable laws and regulations. You will work closely with various stakeholders to support business objectives while managing legal risks.
Please note - this position requires full time on-site attendance at our Manchester offices, Monday to Friday. To have your application considered, you will need to hold UK citizenship or ILR status. Vix is unable to consider applicants with other residency status at this time.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts and agreements including supplier contracts, service agreements, and licenses.
- Providing legal advice and support to internal teams on a wide range of legal issues.
- Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations.
- Assisting in the resolution of disputes and claims, as well as managing litigation processes when necessary.
- Supporting compliance initiatives and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Essential:
- Qualified lawyer with 1-3 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Autonomous self-starter.
- Experience with government contracts, contract management.
- Experience in contract law and drafting/negotiating contracts.
- Strong understanding of commercial law and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
Desirable:
- Experience in the technology or public transportation sectors.
- Knowledge of procurement law and regulations.
- Familiarity with international business laws.
- Experience managing legal risks in a corporate environment.
