The FRLE Technology Administrator is responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance, support, and security of Law Enforcement Unit technology, including enterprise physical access security systems (EPASS) and enterprise video surveillance systems (EVSS) as well as other automation solutions and information systems. This position is considered intermediate level and performs work of moderate complexity. The incumbent works under general supervision and may take directions from a more senior team member. This job does not have any direct reports.
Your Responsibilities
  • Monitor performance and provide technical support for security systems (EPASS and EVSS) to optimize configurations, detect abnormal conditions, and identify possible equipment failures. Coordinate with other specialists (electricians, network administrators, vendors, etc.) to conduct corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Perform system administration for multiple applications and ensure procedures are in place for audit compliance as systems are installed or modified.
  • Create and program identification badges for contractors and employees.
  • Administer fingerprinting and background checks for personnel. Manage the automated fingerprinting identification system.
  • Analyze software vulnerability alerts and perform patching as required.
  • Maintain weekly virus definition updates and monthly scans.
  • Provide training to officers responsible for monitoring and using the systems.
  • Generate scheduled and ad hoc reports.
  • Ensure security systems are tested as scheduled. Maintain and file testing documentation.
  • Participate in access reviews by analyzing access levels, communicating with team to understand next steps, and ensures reviews are completed timely and thoroughly.
  • Maintain records related to access requests, deletions, updates, terminations and transfers.
  • Collaborate with peers across the Federal Reserve System to implement standard technology and share best practices.
  • Participate in industry associations and stay current on trends and innovations to improve security technology at the Bank.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Primarily work a Monday through Friday daytime shift with occasional off-hours and weekend work as necessary for system upgrades, testing, and incident response.

Your background
  • Associate's degree or commensurate specialized training, certification, or work experience
  • 3 to 5 years of professional work experience in law enforcement or related field or in an information technology role
  • Coursework or certifications in computer science or other technology related specialties
  • Knowledge of information security standards and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Working knowledge and/or greater depth of expertise with Microsoft products, including SharePoint
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building and collaboration skills
  • Experience with or interest in data analytics preferred

Additional Requirements
  • Must pass initial and subsequent drug tests based on nationally accepted drug screening which includes screening for marijuana.

The expected starting salary for this position is $84,100 - $99,400 annually in addition to annual performance-based discretionary bonuses. Final salary and offer are determined by the applicant's relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
