Job Description: Launch Manager

Department: Operations
Salary Range: $98,200-$164,000
Reports To: Plant Manager
- Serve as the central point of communication between the plant and the SDT Team.
- Act as the primary coordinator across all departments within the plant.
- Develop detailed launch plans and drive completion of all key milestones to ensure a successful product launch.
- Manage all items within the New Product Launch Manufacturing Readiness Report, ensuring timely completion and proactively notifying appropriate management of any risks that could impact a successful plant launch.
- Support the resolution of open product issues.
- Lead the resolution of process launch issues and track all actions through closure.
- Conduct component design reviews with the Launch SDT to ensure all quality and manufacturing objectives are achieved.
- Ensure appropriate process controls (poka-yoke) for all SC and CC dimensions are identified in the Control Plan and FMEA and effectively implemented within the assembly/manufacturing process.
- Ensure timely resolution of all Launch PRRs and customer concerns.
- Initiate actions to prevent non-conformities related to products, processes, and quality systems, and drive the implementation of effective solutions.
- Identify, document, and track issues related to products, processes, and quality systems through successful closure.
- Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming products until deficiencies or unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.
- Develop training plans and tracking methods to ensure all employees are adequately trained on new products and process assignments.
- Maintain customer trust through a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Expedite design and process changes in response to received QRs.
- Coordinate QS9000 implementation for existing systems.
- Coordinate process development for ODS in Place and Visual Management initiatives.
- Post-secondary education required; Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Industrial Engineering (BSIE), or an equivalent field preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of manufacturing experience.
- 5 to 10 years of product design experience.
- Experience in customer management.
