Launch Lead – Specialty (COPD) (m/f/d)

(Full-time, 38.5 hours/week)

This is an exciting opportunity to join GSK as a Commercial Launch Lead for Specialty, focused on the Austrian market.

In this role, you will take on cross-functional leadership responsibilities, enabling you to establish GSK's position in the Specialty market and lay the foundation for the cross-functional team to succeed in this space.

One key aspect of the role will be the local implementation and adaptation of the global strategy in close collaboration with global and local stakeholders from all relevant functions, including Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and Clinical Development.

This role could be an ideal opportunity for you to indirectly lead, inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team. You will also be responsible for establishing challenging strategic and operational priorities to deliver a best in industry launch in Austria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identification and analysis of market research, customer, and market data, and derivation of actions aligned with the strategy (Insight Generation Development)
  • Responsible for the development of product strategies and the implementation of launch/brand plans across various customer segments in collaboration with key cross-functional partners
  • Promotion of strong partnerships with regional teams as the primary point of contact
  • Close collaboration with internal and external (senior) stakeholders, ensuring strong cross-functional cooperation
  • Forecasting based on market developments
  • Planning and monitoring of revenue and sales
  • Responsibility for team leadership, including individual development and talent management (feedback culture)
  • Promotes and fosters open, honest, trustworthy, and transparent communication to create a positive, motivating, and accountable work culture across the cross-functional team

Qualifications & Skills

  • Completed studies in a business, economic or scientific field
  • Proven leadership experience and launch expertise in a high-performing or best-in-class launch within the pharmaceutical industry in a competitive environment
  • Extensive (senior) product management experience with independent development and implementation of business plans based on external insights, forecasting responsibility, and budget management
  • Outstanding strategic, analytical, and digital skills, along with resilience and flexibility to lead and operate in a constantly evolving, competitive environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with/to (senior) stakeholders
  • Ability to set clear priorities based on insights and take appropriate actions
  • Strong omnichannel understanding and skills to reach target audiences across various channels
  • Exceptional (cross-functional) teamwork abilities, including the capacity to give and receive feedback, as well as to build and maintain a strong network
  • Proficient in English; German would be a plus
  • Experience in specialty pharma preferred

Market-conform annual gross salary starting from 95.000,00 €, with the possibility of overpayment depending on your qualifications and relevant experience.
