LatAm Specialist Sales
Role Responsabilities
- Client-facings specialist sales role, focusing on Latin America product. Brazil is the biggest market in the region: it makes up two thirds of the MSCI index weight and over threequarters of our business.
- Integral part of the Sao-Paulo trading floor, a central point of contact across research, sales, sales trading, trading, derivatives, capital markets and banking.
- Providing Latin America macro and thematic commentary, along with stock ideas for both a local and a global institutional investor audience, with local Brazil insight and leveraging the knowledge base across the region. Incorporating cross-asset insights from (fx, fixed income).
- Contributing to Alpha Capture. Generating actionable ideas to monetize the research product.
- Partnering closely with baking on IPO pitches and secondary market blocks, by providing regional and sector insights, market and valuation feedback.
- The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills; extensive knowledge of Latin America markets in a global and emerging market context; expertise in Brazil and fluency in Portuguese and Spanish; cross-asset understanding; client-centric mindset and team- oriented approach.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Strong Latin America markets expertise in a global and emerging markets context, with deep specialization in Brazil.
- Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to distill complexity into clear client messaging.
- Cross-asset understanding (especially FX and fixed income) and how it impacts equities and flows.
- Proven client-centric mindset, strong collaboration skills, and a team-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to originate ideas and drive commercial outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Institutional client-facing experience in sales, specialist sales, research, sales trading, trading, or capital markets.
- Established investor relationships across LatAm and/or global EM allocators (long-only funds, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds)
- Track record of partnering effectively with Banking and Markets colleagues on transactions and investor engagement.
