The Payments organization is driving the next generation of growth, innovation, and market leadership in Brazil by bringing together the firm's capabilities, strategic partnerships, and emerging technologies to create differentiated solutions for clients.

We are looking for a Vice President responsible for leading strategic product partnerships across our Payments franchise in Brazil. This role will focus on identifying, developing, negotiating, and executing partnerships that accelerate business growth, strengthen client value propositions, and position JPMorgan as a leader in the rapidly evolving payments and digital ecosystem.

The successful candidate will work across multiple stakeholders, including Product, Sales, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Controls, and Senior Management.

This individual must possess a deep understanding of the Brazilian financial ecosystem and demonstrate the ability to anticipate market trends, translate innovation into commercial opportunities, and execute complex partnerships that deliver meaningful business outcomes.

The ideal candidate must be innovative, forward-thinking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment alongside senior leaders across the bank to build and deliver partnerships that drive Brazil Payments forward.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic partnerships agenda for the Brazil Payments business, aligned with franchise priorities and growth objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and execute partnerships across Fintechs, Technology providers, ERP & TMS platforms, treasury technology providers, digital commerce platforms, and emerging financial ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with Product, Technology, Sales and other Lines of Business to define partnership strategies, evaluate market opportunities, and develop business cases.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with partners, industry participants, regulators, and key stakeholders across the financial services ecosystem.
  • Monitor external environment, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance JPMorgan's market position and client value proposition.
  • Drive innovation initiatives involving technologies and trends such as:
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Agentic AI
    • Pix ecosystem evolution
    • Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS)
    • Open Finance and API ecosystems
    • Digital Identity and Authentication
    • ERP and Treasury Platform Connectivity
  • Ensure all partnership activities are executed in accordance with applicable policies, governance frameworks, regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Represent J.P. Morgan in industry forums, partnership discussions, innovation events, and relevant market initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 7+ years of experience in Financial Services, Payments, Transaction Banking, Treasury Services, Strategic Partnerships, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong understanding of the Brazilian payments, banking, treasury and/or fintech ecosystem.
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic partnerships, commercial alliances, business development initiatives, or complex market-facing programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends, including Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI, Open Finance, Pix, and next-generation financial infrastructure.
  • Experience evaluating market opportunities, developing business cases, economic models, and strategic recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial modeling and business case development.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple lines of business and functional teams within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Strong project management capabilities with experience leading cross-functional initiatives, including executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, AI tools (such as Copilot) and data-driven business analysis.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred
