IT MANAGER – AI & MDM FOCUS
At Ruvixx, we are on a mission to simplify software license compliance. We combine our modern tech platform with a friendly, human-first approach to turn complex challenges into growth opportunities. Our globally distributed team is passionate about building stronger relationships for our clients, believing firmly in collaboration over confrontation. If you are excited about solving high-stakes problems, embracing emerging technologies, and making a tangible impact from day one, we want you on our team.
We are seeking a highly skilled, assertive, and proactive IT Manager to take full ownership of our IT department’s day-to-day operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will ensure our fully remote team has the secure, reliable, and cutting-edge technology they need to excel.
This is not a passive support role. You will be our internal champion for technological advancement, with your top priorities being the leadership of our Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives and the management of our Mobile Device Management (MDM) ecosystem. You will dive deep into emerging tech, research new tools, and define the absolute "do's and don'ts" of AI usage for our team, all supported by a rigorous foundation in security compliance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead AI Strategy & Governance (Top Priority): Serve as our internal AI authority. Research, test, and relentlessly implement AI tools that drive team efficiency. You will establish definitive guidelines to instruct the team on exactly how to leverage AI safely and effectively.
- Own Our MDM Ecosystem (Top Priority): Command our MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf). Manage all device provisioning, strict policy enforcement, and software deployment across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android platforms.
- Drive Security & Compliance: Fortify our infrastructure. Take an active role in supporting compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) by executing security policies, running internal audits, and maintaining flawless documentation.
- Spearhead IT Operations: Direct the IT department's daily functions during standard PST working hours. Handle advanced support escalations, execute complex projects, and drive strategic initiatives aligned with the CTO's vision.
- Optimize and Innovate: Never settle for the status quo. Continuously refine systems, automate repetitive workflows, and build comprehensive knowledge base articles to empower the team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of professional experience in an IT management or senior IT support role.
- PST Availability: Must be able to work full-time hours closely aligned with the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone.
- Strong AI Foundation: Proven track record of working with AI tools and the technical curiosity to evaluate emerging platforms. You must confidently translate complex AI capabilities into practical, secure operational guidelines.
- Hands-on MDM Expertise: Deep, practical experience administering and deploying MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf, FleetDM).
- Excellent Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, capable of influencing executive leadership and a global workforce.
- Autonomous Leadership: Proven ability to drive projects independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.
- Core Technical Knowledge: Rock-solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VPNs, firewalls) and enterprise cloud applications (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Direct experience with security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Relevant industry credentials (e.g., CompTIA Security+, ITIL, Microsoft/Jamf certifications, or AI-focused qualifications).
WHY JOIN US?
- Impact from Day One: Take total ownership of a critical department and define how our company adopts next-generation AI.
- Modern Tech Stack: Work with cutting-edge, cloud-native tools in a forward-thinking, agile environment.
- True Flexibility: Enjoy the autonomy of a fully remote contract role based anywhere within Latin America.
- Career Growth: Report directly to the CTO, acting as a pivotal player in our technological scaling and strategy.
