The Market Leader (Las Vegas, NV) role leads a team while supporting client portfolios, staffing needs, and delivery execution within an assigned market segment or discipline. This position will spearhead strategic market planning, identify emerging opportunities, lead high-impact pursuits using BC’s Plan to Win strategy, and support employee engagement and resource balancing to meet project delivery and growth objectives. Additionally, this role will play a key part in revenue growth, client development, and enterprise-wide alignment to meet business goals. Strategic decision-making, budgeting, and cross-functional leadership are essential to ensure sustained success and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle


Responsibilities
  • Support business growth in the Las Vegas market by assisting with meeting evolving market demands, balancing team resources for project delivery, and supporting employee development and career progression.
  • Optimize org health by hiring, developing, engaging, retaining, and allocating individual contributors in alignment with business needs.
  • Support the Southwest Area Directors with operational execution, including staffing coordination, workload planning, operational metrics tracking, and continuous process improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships at the project and account level, supporting client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Demonstrate passion, collaboration, and sound judgment by promoting continuous improvement, ethical decision-making, and consistent delivery of quality results.
  • Recruit, develop, and engage talent by coaching employees, supporting career development plans, and fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Guide market sector business and action planning by providing input on market trends, client needs, and emerging opportunities. Play a critical role in identifying and developing new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in developing profitable business with new and existing clients.
  • Drives market sales to meet total year-over-year goals.
  • Support market sales goals through execution excellence, client relationship support, and collaboration with Client Service Managers (CSMs).
  • Serve as CSM or deputy CSM for select clients, supporting relationship development and opportunity conversion
  • Make new client Go-No Go (GNG) decisions based on financial stability and market sector strategy.
  • Support development of repeat business by delivering high-quality project outcomes across assigned services and client engagements.
  • Communicate relevant business updates, operational changes, and priorities to team and broader organization
  • Support delivery and development of market or area business plans by collaborating with Area, Growth, Project Delivery, and BU leadership on annual staffing, revenue, and labor planning targets including in support of planned/forecasted goals for total revenue, net revenue, total direct labor (DL; import + source) and indirect labor (IDL).
  • Collaborate on annual planning and budgeting processes
  • Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of engagement, growth, and accountability.
  • Support workload planning, performance management, and team operations to align resources with business priorities
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.

Skills and Competencies

  • Solid understanding of business and financial principles, demonstrating an aptitude for profit and loss management.

Experience
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in increasing responsibility roles including operational management of a division or similar leadership experience
  • Experience in environmental consulting, engineering, construction and operations industry
  • Previous leadership experience and experience mentoring employees
  • Experience growing services within established market areas.
  • Exposure to annual business planning, strategy development, and implementation.
  • Experience managing project portfolios or teams with measurable impact on business outcomes
  • Experience working within a division-based business model

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or Construction Management, Science, or equivalent experience required

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.  These ranges may be modified in the future.  

Location A: $117,000 - $159,000
Location B: $128,000 - $175,000
Location C: $140,000 - $191,000
