The Role

Title: Laptop Deployment Support Engineer (2 month contract)

Location: Reading (5 days a week) 

Division:  Managed Services 

Reports to: Field Services Team Leader / Head of Projects

THE ROLE 

Key responsibilities 

The Windows 11 Deployment Support is a vital role for this project, and this role will be critical in the final phase of a Windows 11/Modern Management project.  

 

Specific duties 

Depending on the project, you will need to be comfortable doing the following: 

  • Collaborate with internal teams and client leads to facilitate the deployment of 360 laptops.
  • Assist users in setting up laptops using Autopilot.
  • Address user inquiries and provide support as needed.
  • Interact with customers to ensure a smooth deployment process.
  • Escalate issues on behalf of end users to appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Deliver progress reports and updates throughout the deployment process.

ABOUT YOU 

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results while embracing change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role. 

 

The Ideal Candidate 

You should have a good understanding of Windows operating systems from Win10 and 11, as well as a good awareness of the Microsoft 365 stack and Active directory. You must be able to translate technical knowledge and fixes into easy-to-understand business language. 

You need to have a flexible approach to work and workloads, have excellent inter-personal skills and the ability handle work pressures. You should be willing to actively share expertise with others, through mentoring and knowledge management.
