Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily schedules and route planning for multiple crews to ensure all projects are completed efficiently and on time.
- Review and distribute daily job instructions; record crew times, materials used, and ensure proper documentation with receipts and job notes.
- Order and coordinate delivery of materials needed for each project, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage and maintain equipment and tools; coordinate repairs, replacements, and upkeep.
- Communicate project goals clearly to supervisors and crew leaders; resolve any issues promptly and adjust schedules or resources as needed.
- Ensure all projects are delivered within budgeted labor hours and material costs.
- Enforce company safety policies and standards, including PPE use, and lead by example to maintain a strong safety culture.
- Oversee vehicle and equipment inventory, security, and maintenance; complete required quarterly inventory reports and monthly DOT reports.
- Inspect job sites and completed work to ensure high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
- Provide excellent customer service; address client concerns and requests professionally and promptly.
- Train, mentor, and supervise crew leaders and team members on proper landscaping techniques, safety, and company standards.
- Maintain knowledge of plants, drainage systems, patios, retaining walls, hardscapes, and other landscaping elements to guide crews and ensure project success.
- Accurately complete and review administrative paperwork daily; maintain clear communication with management on project status, costs, and needs.
- Attend and implement ongoing training to develop leadership, technical, and operational skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid NC Driver’s License; insurable under company policy.
- Proven experience scheduling routes and managing multiple landscaping projects simultaneously.
- Strong working knowledge of landscaping construction, including patios, retaining walls, drainage systems, and hardscaping.
- Familiarity with ordering and managing materials and supplies for landscaping projects.
- Demonstrated ability to keep projects on budget and manage labor hours efficiently.
- Hands-on experience operating and overseeing safe use of basic landscaping equipment, compact equipment (Dingo, skid-steer), and power tools.
- Ability to identify common plants, trees, and weeds in Zone 7; working knowledge of best practices for planting, maintenance, and site conditions.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Capable of working outdoors year-round in various weather conditions and around environmental hazards (bees, pollen, poisonous plants).
- Physically able to perform and supervise physical work, including bending, standing, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods.
