Job Summary

A Pier Staff member is responsible for representing the marina in a professional and courteous manner, serving as the face of the business during a wide array of customer inquiries on a daily basis. A Pier Staff member provides the highest level of prompt courteous-customer service at all times while maintaining an organized, clean, and welcoming place to do business.

This is a part-time seasonal position that could lead to full-time work for the right candidate. Must be able to work weekends.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

In general, Pier Staff member duties include but are not limited to:

• Greets all marina guests, customers and co-workers in a prompt and courteous manner
• Is safety conscious and follows all documented workplace procedures
• Accurately performs sales transactions of fuel, ice and miscellaneous supplies
• Assists customers with docking and securing boats
• Assists with loading and launching boats on and off trailers
• Demonstrates proactive care for the environment by avoiding gas/oil spills and properly disposing of litter

Qualifications & Requirements

• Age 16 or older
• Boating experience preferred, but not required
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times
• Team-oriented, self motivated and process driven
• Understand and follow directions, company policies, and established procedures
• Work independently, be self motivated and act in safety oriented manner at all times
