- Moving equipment in and out of the shop
- Aid mechanics with the removal and installation of guards
- Oil sampling, lube and oil changes
- Washing and detailing of equipment
- Assisting field and shop mechanics as required
- General clean up of shop, yard, field sites, parts and machines
- Other General Duties as required
Qualifications:
- Completion of grade 12 and mechanically inclined
- Valid Driver's License with successful recent driver abstract, due to safety requirements must be minimum 21 years of age
- Physical requirement ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs.
- Self-starter able to follow directions, assist and work under the direction of a Field Heavy Duty Mechanic and possess the motivation necessary to contribute positively to a safe team environment
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work under minimal supervision
- Experience working within a heavy equipment maintenance environment, basic equipment knowledge, along with preventative maintenance experience would be considered assets
Important Information:
- This position is based in Mildred Lake on a 14x14 Shift. (Days and Nights Required)
- Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement
