Job Description Summary:
This position provides supervision for the department (s) of OhioHealth Laboratory Services.Responsibilities And Duties:
30% Supervises and directs department technical operations and human resources. Acts as liaison resolving operational and technical problems within and between departments. Investigates specimen problems, service complaints and delays in testing. Develops and implements new procedures and processes to improve function and productivity. Maintains appropriate documents and practices for regulatory compliance.25% Oversee workflow, staffing assignments, and productivity, offering recommendations and executing improvements when needed. Maintains schedules, training documentation, and associate records. Provides guidance and support to associates, fostering their development while exemplifying OhioHealth’s mission, vision, and values. Coordinates or delivers training for new associates and students.
20% Continuing education and competencies. Remains current in the field. Trains new associates and students. Maintains competency and mandatory education requirements. Communicates changes and provides leadership to associates.
20% Performs responsibilities of the associates in the department when needed or as determined by the manager.
5% Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
