Summary:
The Laboratory Applications Specialist is responsible for implementing,
maintaining, and supporting laboratory information systems (LIS) and other
software applications used within the laboratory. This role ensures that
systems meet the clinical, operational, and technical needs of the laboratory
and comply with healthcare standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical
support and troubleshooting for laboratory applications and information
systems.
- Participate in
implementing, testing, validating, and maintaining new laboratory software
and updates.
- Collaborate with
laboratory staff and IT teams to identify system requirements and resolve
application issues.
- Train laboratory
personnel on the proper use of applications and software tools.
- Monitor system
performance and ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with
laboratory standards.
- Customize laboratory
systems to improve workflow, reporting, and efficiency.
- Maintain documentation
of configurations, workflows, updates, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Serve as a liaison
between laboratory departments, vendors, and IT teams.

- Bachelor’s degree in
Medical Laboratory Technology,
- Minimum 2 years of
Experience in clinical laboratory operations
- Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills.
- Excellent
communication and training skills.
- Familiarity with
healthcare regulations is a plus.
- Familiar with all QC
for the LAB
- English fluent
