Description
Lab Tech 1 performs assigned daily laboratory operations to yield data for analysis and recommendation to customers regarding machine and component health. Ensure accuracy and efficiency of testing processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Register sample data into electronic systems to track corresponding lab data.
- Receive mail and shipments of samples. Open and organize samples prior to processing.
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of senior lab staff.
- Develop the ability to safely run the following equipment, perform the following tests: Diluter, Viscometer, TBN, TAN, Waters, Coolants, and other tests as assigned.
- Collect lab samples from shop, shipping, and parts locations across the campus.
- Analyze samples according to established protocols.
- Adhere to compliance, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Perform daily cleaning rotation of all laboratory surfaces and instruments.
- Ensure the safe disposal of lab samples and products.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
