The Role: 

The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience working with lab-based IT systems, and a solid understanding of GMP compliance. This is not a typical desktop support role and requires experience supporting laboratory equipment and environments. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Provide first-line support for laboratory equipment issues and escalate to CSV/IT teams as necessary. 

  • Conduct periodic reviews of lab systems, including access control and audit trail checks. 

  • Manage user access requests for laboratory systems in compliance with internal procedures. 

  • Support commissioning and qualification activities for new lab equipment. 

  • Assist in the coordination of setup and deployment for newly acquired lab systems. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams including IT, Quality, and Validation to ensure GMP compliance. 

  • Support the transition of two internal resources moving into the new qualification group and assist with onboarding and training as needed. 

  • Maintain documentation and logs in line with regulatory requirements. 

Equipment Supported: 

  • Waters HPLC systems 

  • Agilent HPLC systems (including 9 instruments) 

  • Bioassay instrumentation 

  • Plate washers 

  • Teacans 

  • Equipment across bioassay, wet chemistry, and general laboratory environments 


Requirements: 

  • Strong understanding of laboratory systems and data integrity principles 

  • Experience with system access management and audit trail reviews 

  • Familiarity with laboratory workflows and equipment setup procedures 

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 

  • Effective communicator with strong organisational abilities 

  • Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team 

  • Exposure to equipment qualification processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) 

  • Understanding of clinical and commercial lab operations
