The Lab Information System Coordinator (LIS Coordinator) plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by performing laboratory tests that aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certification in good standing as a Medical Laboratory Technician MLT(ASCP) with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (preferred) or equivalent required.
  • Recent graduates with an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology may be considered.
  • Must obtain certification within one (1) year of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Experience with advanced laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with electronic laboratory information systems (LIS).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on various biological specimens.
  • Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain laboratory standards.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of junior lab staff and interns.
