Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab In Charge to oversee laboratory operations at our facility in Tellapur, Hyderabad. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of lab activities, maintaining safety standards, and supporting educational and research initiatives. The Lab In Charge will be responsible for managing equipment, inventory, and daily operations while fostering a safe, organized, and productive lab environment. This position offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to academic excellence and operational efficiency within a dynamic educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily laboratory operations and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene protocols
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, schedule routine maintenance, and manage repair requests
- Manage inventory of chemicals, reagents, and consumables; ensure timely reordering and proper storage
- Prepare lab setups for experiments and practical sessions in coordination with faculty
- Train and guide students and junior staff on safe lab practices and equipment usage
- Document lab activities, incidents, and maintenance logs accurately and consistently
- Collaborate with academic staff to support curriculum-related lab requirements
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc.) or equivalent; Master’s in Science (M.Sc.) preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in laboratory management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in inventory management and record-keeping
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced
