Job Description: Lab Assistant (Chemistry)
Role Summary
A reputed IB School in Powai, Mumbai is
looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Lab Assistant (Chemistry) to
support the Science Department in conducting practical sessions and maintaining
laboratory operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic
background in Chemistry and hands-on laboratory experience, ensuring a safe and
engaging learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare
laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical sessions.
- Assist
teachers and students during laboratory experiments.
- Maintain
laboratory cleanliness, safety standards, and inventory.
- Ensure
proper storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals.
- Maintain
records of laboratory equipment and consumables.
- Coordinate
maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Ensure
compliance with laboratory safety protocols.
- Assist
during practical examinations, projects, and science exhibitions.
Qualifications
- B.Sc./M.Sc.
in Chemistry or related Science discipline.
- 2–5
years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Prior
experience in a school laboratory will be preferred.
- Good
knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling.
