We are looking for an experienced L3 Data / Wireless Network Engineer to join our Global Network Services team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, enterprise network support, wireless infrastructure management, and project delivery across large-scale global environments.
This role requires strong hands-on expertise in enterprise data networking, wireless technologies, SD-WAN, routing & switching, and operational support. The engineer will work closely with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality network services, resolve complex issues, and support critical infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced Level 2 and Level 3 support for enterprise data and wireless network environments.
- Perform complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and permanent resolution for network and wireless issues.
- Support and manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPN, campus, and datacenter networking environments.
- Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot enterprise-grade routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Support Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco ISE, Mobility Services Engine (MSE), and enterprise wireless deployments.
- Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, RF interference, roaming (L2/L3), authentication, performance, and client-related issues.
- Lead or contribute significantly to network implementation, migration, refresh, and rollout projects.
- Manage incidents, service requests, problem tickets, and change activities within ITSM platforms following ITIL processes.
- Coordinate with OEM vendors, ISPs, and Cisco TAC for escalations and critical issue resolution.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, availability, capacity, and reliability using enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.

- Good understanding of wireless security technologies including WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, PEAP, RADIUS, TACACS+, and ACLs.
- Experience with Cisco Prime Infrastructure, SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent monitoring and management platforms.
- Hands-on exposure to Cisco ISE and enterprise authentication frameworks.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and basic network automation/orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and ITSM ticketing systems.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
