What We're Looking For:

This role partners closely with product management, design, and engineering to support near‑term product delivery through rigorous user research and usability evaluation. The researcher independently plans and executes evaluative studies to reduce product risk, improve experience quality, and increase confidence in execution decisions.
This role is primarily focused on H1 research, supporting active development workstreams and product releases.

Role Overview

This role partners closely with product management, design, and engineering to support near‑term product delivery through rigorous user research and usability evaluation. The researcher independently plans and executes evaluative studies to reduce product risk, improve experience quality, and increase confidence in execution decisions.

This role is primarily focused on H1 research, supporting active development workstreams and product releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently plan and conduct usability testing and evaluative research across active products and features 

  • Support near‑term delivery decisions by partnering closely with design, product management, and engineering 

  • Develop research plans, test protocols, and success criteria aligned to defined UX and product requirements 

  • Select appropriate evaluative methods and tools based on program needs and constraints 

  • Conduct moderated and unmoderated usability studies with end users 

  • Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for immediate design and implementation trade‑offs 

  • Provide a consistent user perspective throughout the development lifecycle 

  • Participate in occasional travel (up to 25%) to support in‑person usability testing, customer visits, and on‑site collaboration with product teams

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, HCI, Human Factors, Anthropology, Sociology, Cognitive Psychology, or related field

  • 1-3 years of experience conducting UX research with a strong emphasis on usability testing and evaluative methods

  • Demonstrated ability to own evaluative research end‑to‑end, from planning through delivery 

  • Experience working closely with design and engineering teams in active product development cycles 

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to support research activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related discipline

  • Familiarity with remote usability testing platforms (e.g., UserZoom) 

  • Familiarity with Figma and iterative UX prototyping workflows

Skills Required
