Job Summary: As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by selling commercial airtime, programs, promotions, digital online, digital outdoor, and TV production to existing advertisers and agencies primarily in the Greater Oklahoma City area. In addition to maintaining and expanding sales volume with established accounts, you will actively prospect and secure new advertisers for all Griffin Media properties. By cultivating relationships, understanding client needs, and leveraging our diverse media properties, you will contribute significantly to the success of Griffin Media.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work within established Sales Department guidelines to maintain and increase sales volume with established accounts.
- Execute plans and strategies set forth by sales management.
- Find solutions to customer's concerns and complaints in accordance with company policy.
- Aggressively seek new customers to build station client base and attain new business goals. Prospect non-traditional and traditional advertisers for market development campaigns to reach market development goals.
- Maintain awareness of legal issues, including antitrust, political, payola, and fraudulent billing.
- Maintain awareness of the competition.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
- Maintain visibility in the community.
- Represent Griffin Media positively in the community through active engagement and networking.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including driving an automobile for company business.
Job Schedule: This is a full-time position primarily working 40 hours per week. You may also be called upon at times to fill in other hours and days of the week to help cover vacations, illnesses, or special projects/events. This position is not eligible to work remotely.

Skills and Requirements:
- Formal education of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or related field preferred. Related experience will be evaluated by Company management and may be substituted on the basis of 2 years of experience equals 1 year of education.
- Prior sales experience in a sales or marketing related field preferred.
- Prior experience in sales or marketing within the media industry is preferred.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately with names, numbers, codes, and symbols.
- Effective oral and written communication skills as well as ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of personal computers to include Microsoft Operating Systems (Word, Excel, etc.); ability to learn new systems.
- Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and have a driving record acceptable to the company. Access to daily use of personal vehicle transportation.
- Ability to perform other job-related duties as assigned.
