We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kubernetes administrator with strong experience in managing and deploying cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, scaling, and optimizing Kubernetes clusters in a multi-cloud environment, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role requires hands-on expertise in containerization, cloud services, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) practices.
The Kubernetes Administrator will collaborate closely with development, support, and cloud operations teams to support cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kubernetes Management:
- Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
- Implement and manage automated scaling, health checks, and logging for Kubernetes environments.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for Kubernetes clusters in multi-cloud environments.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Work with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to design and manage cloud-native infrastructures.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and resource efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to manage deployments to Kubernetes clusters.
- Configure application and network integrations to customer on-premises and cloud-based services.
- Security & Compliance:
- Implement Kubernetes security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), network policies, and encryption.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements within the cloud environment.
- Manage and monitor IAM roles, policies, and permissions on Azure, AWS, GKE platforms.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of Kubernetes configurations, best practices, and cloud infrastructure.
- Provide regular reports on cluster performance, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work with development teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of applications within the Kubernetes clusters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes-related issues across multiple environments.
- Provide on-call support as required for cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven experience (4+ years) as a Kubernetes Administrator, Cloud Engineer, or similar role with hands-on experience in managing production Kubernetes cluster environments.
- Strong knowledge of container orchestration and management in Kubernetes.
- In-depth experience with cloud-native services on Azure (AKS, Virtual Networks), AWS (EKS, EC2, S3), and GCP (GKE, Cloud Storage) .
- Skills & Expertise:
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Helm, ArgoCD).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Opensearch).
- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, including network security, identity, and access management (IAM).
