From our ofice in Porto, we are expanding our team with multiple Platform Engineers. In this role, you will design and automate cloud-native environments using Kubernetes, Azure, Terraform, and Ansible to support global automotive leaders. Additionally, you will drive infrastructure modernization and ensure high system reliability through advanced monitoring.
What you’ll do...
- Build environments and microservices using Kubernetes, Azure, and on-premise infrastructure;
- Utilize Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps workflows;
- Maintain global environments using OpsGenie, Prometheus, Grafana, FluentBit, and Loki;
- Help customers and internal Sofico teams solve complex technical challenges;
- Transform legacy components into scalable, cloud-native solutions;
- Mentor peers and contribute to engineering standards across the company.
What you bring...
- Proven experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Linux, and a major cloud provider (preferably Azure or AWS);
- Familiarity with Oracle/MS SQL and core networking concepts (DNS, firewalls);
- Fluency in English with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences;
- Comfort working directly with customers, including joining customer calls, asking the right questions, and resolving issues.

Skills Required
- Proven experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Helm
- Linux experience
- Experience with a major cloud provider (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable)
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience with Ansible
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows
- Experience managing monitoring and alerting: Prometheus, Grafana, OpsGenie
- Experience with logging/observability tools: FluentBit, Loki
- Familiarity with Oracle or MS SQL
- Familiarity with core networking concepts (DNS, firewalls)
