The Position

 

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join our multi-skilled team responsible for delivering high-quality preventative and corrective maintenance in order to meet contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

 

In your role, you will be able to provide vehicle focussed (Mechanical and Electrical) knowledge and expertise to effectively deliver maintenance and repairs, proactively identify potential problems, recommend resolution paths and implement solutions in order to meet and exceed KPI’s and faulting targets in support of deployable MARSS NiDAR CUAS Systems in the region.

 

You will be able to conduct on-the-job training (OJT) for colleagues and customer technicians/operators as and when required to support the needs of the business.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

Given the nature of our flexible team and fast-moving environment, the range of responsibilities is wide and provides an opportunity to develop your skills and experience in many areas:


  • The role holder will be subordinated to MARSS Service Operations Team and MARSS Service Desk as dictated by any given incident scenario and will proactively assist in incident resolution.
  • The role holder will act in accordance with the direction given by the relevant line or incident management team to ensure the expeditious resolution of deployable vehicle-related events.
  • The role holder will provide input to any reports (internal & customer) that may be required.
  • The role holder will deploy across the gulf region whenever instructed by his management chain or to assist on major incidents or projects.
  • Monitor and analyze site vehicle performance and associated vehicle modifications that support MARSS NiDAR CUAS System deployments.
  • Ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of the deployable vehicles supporting the NiDAR CUAS systems.
  • Responsible for delivery of preventative maintenance in order to meet and exceed customer KPI’s.
  • Provide emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule, performs other duties as assigned.
  • Make frequent visits to sites for repair and technology needs and Perform on-site and remote technical support.
  • Assist in the organization and inventory of all vehicle-related hardware resources, creates and maintains good technical documentation.
  • Will provide technical support gulf-wide as directed by the relevant MARSS line management.

 

Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Level 5 UK International Vocational Qualifications (IVQ) in Motor Vehicle Engineering / Management, or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience in a multi-disciplined vehicle maintenance environment.
  • Proven working experience in a relevant position and industry.
  • Advanced Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Must possess good English verbal and writing skills and good spoken Arabic.
  • Must possess a valid driving license from the country of origin.
  • Must be a results-orientated, proactive team player who is also capable of working on their own initiative.
  • Must be customer and quality-focused.

 

Desired Requirements

 

  • Knowledge of maintaining mil-spec vehicles.
  • Knowledge of maintaining and supporting standard vehicles that have been modified to support deployable capabilities.

  • Good Arabic writing skills.

Skills Required

  • Level 5 UK International Vocational Qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering or Management, or equivalent
