The Role
Description

In Learning Services, we have a direct impact on our employees, our partners, our customers, and the business by providing product, business process, and skills training for audiences around the globe, from colleagues to partners to client end-users. You will play a critical role in empowering them to maximize their potential by providing relevant training. You will wear many hats as you transfer knowledge via different types of activities, whether that is through designing training, delivering training, or organizing training in the LMS system.

Project Ownership

  • Plan and estimate time to complete assignments.
  • Provide weekly status on progress.
  • Maintain project documentation and files.

Instructional Design:

  • Learn our products and Services models.
  • Analyze learning needs, learners’ job tasks, and document the training objectives and outcomes.
  • Design course and lesson outlines using adult learning principles, using a relatable “story”.
  • Design each lesson and identify data to be added to the system to accomplish the lesson
  • Write clearly and concisely, in a consistent style and in compliance with our standards.
  • Create certification and knowledge check questions as a guide to ensure the lessons teach what needs to be learned.
  • Review survey evaluations for any existing courses to suggest course improvements.

Develop courses:

  • If live training, create agendas and instructor guides, poll, etc..
  • For eLearning, script the lessons and capture simulations using Captivate.
  • Add text, reviewing for standards, proper English grammar and punctuation.
  • Work with Production, who formats and adds voiceover, and review the final product.

LMS and SharePoint:

  • Store source and output files on SharePoint.
  • Add catalogs and other structure in the Docebo LMS as needed to load your courses.
  • Enroll users in the appropriate courses and ensure they can successfully log in.
  • Run reports and analyze feedback.
  • Monitor email, addressing any questions that come in.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of classroom (vILT or ILT) experience training users on software
  • 5+ years’ experience working in software companies, understanding the development life cycle and software development lingo and able to collaborate and communicate with product developers.
  • 5+ years working with the ADDIE model and Adult Learning Principles.
  • Fluent in English is a must, with native-English writing ability
  • Experience in Life Sciences, in the area of validation
  • Experience creating well-received course agendas and course delivery feedback
  • Strong Instructional Design skills, including mind-mapping skills, writing “stories”, design learning flow, creating storyboards
  • A passionate, skilled, natural teacher; highly engaging, patient and committed
  • Ability to engage the audience and tailor your delivery to their unique needs, enabling optimal engagement and learning retention
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural, global organization
  • A commitment to customer success and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to travel is a plus for future opportunities
  • Experience or understanding of the implementation of software is a plus
