Amentum is seeking an experienced Knowledge Management Communications Manager Senior to support the DHS/ICE Camp East Montana contract in El Paso, TX.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Knowledge Management Communications Manager Senior oversees program objectives to ensure positive, timely, unified interactions with Amentum, ICE/DHS and government representatives while facilitating organization-wide knowledge sharing through information management, distributed publications, customer feedback, and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor program-wide communications with high-ranking and government officials to ensure a timely and unified message, seamless exchange of information, resolution of issues, responsiveness to customer feedback, and implementation of communication improvements.
Develop and plan the structure and content for a program-wide database of cost-saving initiatives, lessons learned, and improvements implemented to use in CPAR and Amentum Board of Directors evaluations, leadership reports, management decisions, and corrective action plans.
Establish goals and metrics to strengthen customer relationships through improved frequency, documentation, and tone of communications.
Provide direction for communication managers and staff submitting information in support of improved communication and knowledge management initiatives and CPAR evaluations and BoD meeting/briefings.
Evaluate field communication and metrics reports, assess program relationships with government entities, and prepare briefings for senior and corporate leadership.
Manage employee suggestion program to promote participation, assess submissions, and coordinate the leadership review, response, implementation, recognition, and rewards for participants.
Serve as Executive Editor for program-wide monthly newsletter, managing content, submissions, and distribution.
Support the Knowledge Management Senior Director and guide field office staff regarding development and execution of knowledge management team planning, coordination, and delivery of findings and recommendations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a combination of proposal development, remote field operations, business development, program planning and development, and/ or team management on government contracts or programs.
Ability to manage government reviews and inquiries, develop metrics, draw conclusions, and prepare comprehensive reports and white papers.
Strong understanding of US government contracts and customers.
Capable of problem-solving in fast paced, time critical environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software with emphasis in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Knowledge of research methodologies and principles.
Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Skill in supervising personnel include delegating responsibility, training, discipline, and evaluating performance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business management, or associated discipline; two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
Location and Work Environment
This is a HYBRID role, when on-site you will report to Camp East Montana (CEM), El Paso, TX. This is a full-time position in a dynamic, 24/7 operational environment subject to evolving priorities and potential high-visibility scrutiny.
