Job Summary:
As a KYC Associate in the Client Onboarding team, you play a key role in analyzing client documentation and supporting the approval of new customers and updates to existing ones. You will apply regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, study legal and commercial documents to understand client activity and risk, and execute anti-money laundering policies. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the business, ensuring our onboarding processes are robust and compliant.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform KYC and client documentation analysis to support new customer approvals and amendments.
- Apply regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions and internal procedures.
- Review legal and commercial documents to understand client activity, structure, and associated risks.
- Execute AML policies and internal procedures in line with local and global standards.
- Collaborate daily with Sales and Bankers to obtain required documents.
- Advise business partners on onboarding requirements and status.
- Conduct quality control activities to ensure compliance and protect the organization.
- Track and follow up on pending client documentation with internal teams.
- Perform client searches and communicate requested information accurately.
- Update Standard Operating Procedures to reflect current processes.
- Work with supporting areas such as Legal, Compliance, Internal Controls, Technology, and Client Services.
- Prepare data and reports for regulatory needs and maintain client setup metrics.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Fluent English, both written and verbal; formal communication required daily.
- Experience meeting deadlines for time-sensitive projects.
- Experience in documentation management.
- Relevant experience (over 5 years) within a financial institution.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
