Program Support Division Manager
Job Description
ARES is supporting NASA in launching the Artemis mission to send astronauts back to the Moon and Mars. One of our roles is providing program support functions for NASA’s Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) as SLS and Orion are built, integrated, tested, and launched. It is an exciting mission supported by an awesome team working side by side with their NASA customers. As the Program Support Manager you will work within the KLXS Program Office, executing the duties of the KLXS contract and managing activities of the Program Support organization. This role requires excellent skills in leadership, teamwork, organization, planning, execution, employee management, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Possess a strong understanding of the Program Support disciplines (Board Support, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Strategic Communication, Federal Budgeting) with relevant experience at NASA and preferably KSC.
- Have strong leadership and organizational skills, with a minimum of 5 years proven line management experience of at least 8 direct employees.
- Experience in facilitation techniques, preferably with a Six Sigma green or black belt certification.
- Commitment to work five days a week (M-F, 8-5) onsite at KSC.
Responsibilities (typical):
- Support the PMO and PM with program management activities, process development, leadership, and strategy.
- Lead, plan, and direct a team of professionals working in Program Support functions – e.g. board support, configuration management, strategic communications, risk management, Intern programs and more.
- Manage approximately 35 Program Support employees and subcontractors and develop and mentor junior employees, to facilitate their future growth. You'll create personal development plans for individuals in your team, and recruit internally and externally when necessary.
- Ensure performance, compliance, and sustained process improvement initiatives within the organization.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers and internal stakeholders, including NASA EGS Leadership and ensure strong customer satisfaction.
Education and Relevant Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business discipline

Skills Required
