Strongly recommended for teammate to be clinically licensed to qualify for this role- RN, RD, MSW/LSW or Patient Care Technician with a CCHT.

Kidney Smart offers instructor-led kidney disease education classes in neighborhoods across the country. These 90-minute classes provide the kidney disease and dialysis knowledge you need to take control of your health.

As the Kidney Smart Educator you will teach patients: How kidneys function and the common causes of chronic kidney disease (CKD). How medications, diet and nutrition work together to help keep you healthy. Plus many more topics impacting kidney health.

Travel: This role requires travel within assigned geographical area.

Nights/Weekends: The schedule of this role is M-Friday with flexible daytime hours

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Level I - Job required tasks routinely involve a potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues or potential spills or splashes. Use of appropriate personal protection measures is required for every healthcare provider in these positions. Exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Normal hazards associated with frequent business travel by car.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

Physical requirements can vary. These must be reviewed with management. However, in general, the position requires the following activities:

  • Ability to lift minimum of 5 lbs to a max of 50 lbs unassisted and able to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use full range of body motions.
  • Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment and ability to use computer keyboard and peripherals.
