The Kid Zone Staff will support the development of an engaging, dynamic, and well-supervised setting for all participants, while cultivating an inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Purpose and Impact:
- Be a Mentor:
- Build supportive, positive relationships with children and families, model YMCA values, and encourage growth, confidence, and belonging.
- Prioritize Safety:
- Maintain a healthy, secure environment through active supervision, safety checks, and proper response to incidents and emergencies.
- Inspire Positive Engagement:
- Lead developmentally appropriate activities, follow daily schedules, and promote positive behavior that enriches each child’s visit.
- Build Positive Connections:
- Provide welcoming, responsive service to families, encourage participation in Y programs, and contribute to a professional, collaborative team culture.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum Age: 16 years with valid work permit.
- Experience & Skills:
- Preferred 2 years' work experience with children ages 6 weeks to 11 years old.
- Experience in customer service preferred.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Certifications:
- First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).

Once a conditional offer is made, candidates will be subject to criminal background check, drug screen, and will be asked to provide criminal history.
