General Position Summary:
Maintains cleanliness of both Garden Atrium and Main Lodge Kitchen areas. Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food service wares. Maintains sanitary conditions of all Food and Beverage areas.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Washes and puts away all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
- Follows all written and verbal instructions concerning department equipment use, and maintenance of equipment
- Maintains cleanliness of all Food and Beverages spaces, (i.e., dish room, Garden Atrium kitchen, main lodge kitchen, refrigerator/freezer food storage areas, dry storage and walkways between F&B spaces
- Removes left over food as directed, cleans equipment and turns “off” equipment
- Breaks down and stacks cardboard boxes, before and after, each shift
- Dumps garbage cans located in kitchen
- Generally, keeps kitchen area clean
Secondary Functions:
- Practices good guest service at all times
- Performs other duties deemed necessary
Specific Job Skills:
- Performs functions and responsibilities quickly and efficiently
- Willing to learn how to operate and maintain an automatic dishwasher
- Willing to learn sanitation policies
- Must possess health certificate
- Able to take direction and work as a team member.
- Must be dependable and able to work without direct supervision
- Able to write English and understand written instructions
Education and/or Experience:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Prefer GED or High School Diploma.
Job Conditions:
Working conditions include working with and around dish machine washer, kitchen equipment sometimes under crowded conditions, frequent interruptions.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
