KGO-TV/ABC7 News, the ABC Owned Television station in San Francisco, is seeking a fast, accurate, and creative Digital Producer to join our growing digital team. The Digital Producer is responsible for writing, editing, and publishing compelling news content across ABC7’s digital platforms, including the website, mobile apps, streaming channels, and all social media platforms.
The ideal candidate is passionate about local news, thrives under deadline pressure, and is eager to experiment with new digital storytelling formats. The candidate will have a strong understanding of social media practices aimed at engaging audiences, which is key to success in this role. A working knowledge of digital metrics and analytics is a critical component as well.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with breaking news in a digital newsroom
- Knowledge of basic image editing, or video editing software (i.e. Canva, Adobe)
- Familiarity with social strategy, SEO, and emerging digital platforms
- At least three years' experience working in a digital content environment

- Experience in a newsroom, digital production, or video production environment
- Strong editorial skills, news judgment, and awareness of digital audiences
- Excellent communication, grammar, writing, and AP‑style proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment

- Experience with Canva, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, or similar nonlinear editing tools
