This role is responsible for handling multiple sales management functions in the assigned geographic region. Responsible for sales targets achievement, field force management (including talent management, (Key result area) KRA monitoring of field staff , distribution & trade channel management, key account & Key opinion leader (KOL) management. Accountable for managing clinical seminars & conferences, and promotional campaigns (in consultation with local sales force and (Head Office) HO based clinical specialists & product management team).

What will you be doing?

The State Manager is responsible for sales targets achievement, field force management (including talent management, (Key result area) KRA monitoring of field staff , distribution & trade channel management, key account & Key opinion leader (KOL) management.

The role includes:

  • Achieving sales target of assigned area, with a bias towards ensuring that product wise and individual team member’s sales targets are also achieved.

  • Maintaining sales records, analyzing the same, and ensuring that sales trends analyses are communicated to field staff, with clear future action plans.

  • Training, counseling, motivating and skill development of the team members.

  • Managing the distribution channels of assigned area.

  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling the inventory levels at (Distributor on Consignment Basis) DCBs (regional depots), and/or super stockists

  • Liaise with the institutional stockists/liaison agents and hospital stores & purchase personnel to strengthen the availability and usage of our products in the institutional segment.

  • Organizing, participating & ensure effective promotion of assigned company products during medical seminars and conferences.

  • Interaction with HO Marketing to procure technical and marketing information, and formulating tactics for field sales promotion.

  • Ensuring ethical promotion of products to medical practitioners and hospitals. Developing key accounts and Key Opinion Leaders for the focus products.

  • Ensuring timely delivery of comprehensive regional reports every sales period.

  • Ensure that self and all team members comply with ‘Code of Ethics’ as prescribed by the company from time to time.

What will you need to be successful?

Successful candidates would need the following:

  • Graduate with minimum 10+ years of Relevant industry experience.

  • Proficient knowledge and Experience in Surgical Sector - Preferred - Prior experience in Wound Management products.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Self-Driven and result oriented approach

  • Good communication & presentation skills.

  • Proven man-management, situation-handling, crisis management skills. Ability to grasp clinical terminology and competence to communicate product features & benefits in a clinical environment with healthcare professionals.

  • Must have ‘PERCH’ personality. PERCH is an acronym which stands for Personable, Energetic, Responsive, Confident and Honest. Must put team performance above individual agenda.

  • Pro-active customer orientation. Must lead by example

  • Travel Requirements: 50-75%
