ABOUT THE ROLE
Job Purpose:
As a Key Account Specialist at AstraZeneca, you’ll be the driving force behind business growth in your territory. By building trusted partnerships with healthcare professionals and delivering expert product knowledge, you’ll promote AstraZeneca’s innovative portfolio in an ethical and compliant way. Through a Key Account Management (KAM) approach, you’ll strengthen long-term relationships, optimize sales performance, and align your efforts with AstraZeneca’s mission to advance healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote AstraZeneca products through ethical, compliant, and effective engagement with healthcare professionals.
- Implement promotional activities (commercial visits, conferences, seminars) aligned with company strategy and the approved promotional plan (TAP).
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and healthcare stakeholders.
- Maintain and regularly update the customer database within the assigned territory.
- Deliver consistent and insightful feedback on client interactions, market trends, and sales performance.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of AstraZeneca products, therapeutic areas, and competitive landscape.
- Conduct profiling and segmentation of healthcare professionals to enhance targeting strategies.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of activities and performance in the CRM system.
- Prepare financial and administrative reports in compliance with corporate and legal requirements.
- Uphold AstraZeneca’s corporate policies, business ethics, and professional image in all interactions.
Job Requirements:
Essential Criteria:
- A degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) with a solid scientific background.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in multinational pharma companies in a similar position.
- Key Account Management experience is a must.
- Previous experience in Respiratory, Immunology or in specialty care including Oncology, Hematology, and Rare Disease with strong track record of achievements.
- Flexible to travel or cover remote areas frequently.
- Strong sales abilities with a solid understanding of effective selling techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Advanced proficiency in using computer systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to easily comprehend and communicate complex scientific materials.
- Strong ability to influence key stakeholders and organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities to drive strategic decisions and sales performance.
